The context on the page doesn't exist anymore.... it was taken down. Must be fake.

Man, don't post such nonsense. We are already anxious
Now the word is SAP is all in for AI but not a single word on the strategy for OnPrem
This is the source of all these speculations about layoffs.
@bf Is it not enough that the SAP CEO and CFO keep touting layoffs publicly every chance they get?
@b6 As long as SAP is not mentioned explicitly, all of this is just a silly rumor.
And the original article looks fake and AI slop.
@a3 How’s Reuters for you then?
The US has the worst job cuts data since 2009.
Here’s a statistic for you.
584k new jobs in 2025 vs 2 million in 2024.
This shows how many layoffs we’ve been having. Granted that this is the entire market and not just tech, it is still very troubling. The economy is on a decline. And the moment the AI bubble bursts, we’ll be in a recession far worse than the one in 2008.
SAP will face this the worst because our strategy ignores what customers want. The entire SAP strategy is a giant bet on AI. When it fails, even a 15% drop in the revenue would mean 35000 jobs lost across SAP. Not making these numbers up. Just check the public SAP financials and you’ll see why.
This is exacerbated by the fact that SAP pays more in admin salaries (like HRBP) than other tech companies. And it doesn’t invest enough in development and R&D salaries and infrastructure as other companies. Just look at the public financial data. Stock buybacks only makes this worse.
The board wants to sacrifice employees for their personal gains in bonuses due to inflated share price. This is an engineered disaster waiting to happen.
