Why would Verizon waste time and resources asking employees to add their accomplishments if they’re getting rid of them? The portal is opening around November 24th. Whoever got the email might be safe — but who knows

So here’s the thing. We were told to do the same thing in 2024 for the RIFs that hit GTS in May as well as for some forced VSPs. And the real reaso is CYA. Let’s say the whole department gets closed out then it’s not an issue. But let’s say a few people in a certain team are RIFed, and the others are kept. That’s legal exposure unless they can prove that it was performance related. Which is why I was specifically told to have people complete reviews and then also add my comments to it so that our SVP could CYA
I did get the email the other day. I noticed it was kinda weird looking and I didn’t click anything. Now the emails gone. I’ve been here 15 months as a top performing Sales Rep, who was wanting to move up.
If your bonus eligible you still have to enter accomplishments as you will still be paid out your bonus even if you're rif'd.
Funny, about 1/2 my team got it, the other half couldn't see it (including me).
We were doing the same logic check.
- Am I gone because I didn't get it?
- Are the others gone because they need to put in something before the bad news?
What a mess. Kind of typical for so many things done here.

I got the email, someone on my team didn't. We both check our emails regularly. The email when I checked this morning is gone. I didn't click the link, thinking it was a phishing exercise or something. I thought it was a weird email.
Yea I got one but it didn’t work and now I can’t find it.
We all got the email, but when you clicked the link, the portal wasn’t open and failed.
This likely was sent to everyone in error and it was later recalled.
They did move the window back to enter end of year. This was likely done because, yeah, what’s the point of entering your accomplishments if you’ve been RIF’d
