Some of y’all are really playing with fire. Sometimes silence is golden, quite a few people have posted themselves out of a job today, don’t become one of them.

@aa Copy & pasted original message to a different slack channel it looks like (w/ same member count as yelling). I feel bad I thought of copying & pasting the message too but didn’t
everyone relax. if you merely saw confidential information, no one cares. just delete it and move on, like you would with any other confidentail information you might stumble across doing your job. don't share it though.
@aj If anyone did download it, delete the files immediately. Even if you didn’t share it. It will make it easier to explain yourself in case you do find trouble.
@ad hey ! I didn’t share it and the download button was the first thing u see on the website that was shared
@ae I figure it's like sale data - lots of people have access, but they don't share it. If you peeked at the list, fine - don't share it and delete it. I think that's in bounds for today since things got a little hyperspeed for a while there.
@ae I've been nervous about that myself, but thinking rationally, I highly doubt they will go around whacking anyone who laid eyes upon it as long as they weren't actively spreading the info within it. Target just had an excellent opportunity to hemorrhage anyone they truly didn't need, but decided to keep us. I don't think they can afford to chop an extra couple hundred more, clearly quite essential people, for just looking at a confidential document
@ae Considering the fact the people were downloading and sharing that list, or sharing methods to view the list, you probably won’t get into trouble for looking. I still recommend against it as Target does seem to be taking this seriously.
Are we sc--wed if we saw it? I went on go/ad and saw it.
@aa not sure what that particular guy did, but just as one example, the person in the following post on this website is probably royally fu---d, so could be something along these lines: https://www.thelayoff.com/post/@a9+1k8ny1pnz
@aa no idea. I don’t recall ever seeing his name posting about the AD group. Perhaps he downloaded it or something? The AD group for those asking was just an Active Directory group with peoples names and emails, like all AD groups are
Does anyone know what the ad group guy did?
100%...
Some stones are best left unturned
@a7 “If you know about the AD Group, no you don’t”. Some stones are best left unturned my friend.
What’s the AD Group that people are talking about in the yelling chat???
Keep in mind: everything on yelling is tracked and recorded with your name attached to it. they track every click you do on it. Who in their right mind would do anything there when this site is an anon alternative is beyond me.
Everything you put there can be spun in a way that you are fired. They can fire you even based on what you are looking at if you are not permited to see it - you cannot unsee things.
But, people are people and some folks just never fail to amaze me.
Be careful folks, safety is paramount...
@a3
So you are saying some current employees bi--h about something using their real name on a company owned server and they got canned?
Looks like people are d-mber than expected and really don’t know how computer systems work.
What is yelling?
@a2 yes. essentially the closest thing target has to a general chat
what is #yelling ? An internal chat or something?
I genuinely cannot imagine being so wi--y-nilly with the organization that pays for my housing and groceries, in front of God and everybody. Some of these people I'm like, I genuinely hope you are a trust funder who keeps a job purely for mental stimulation, because you sure do act like it
