Patterns Suggest Political Bias in Treatment of Canadian Staff by U.S. Managers

As we continue to see high-performing Canadians increasingly targeted by their American managers for political reasons, a concerning disparity is also emerging in termination practices, with a disproportionate number of minorities being affected.

@a5 We had 2 female, Indian, high performing, very busy Canadians laid off. Not sure if it was related to their country or due to a misunderstanding about their actual workload.

Yeah, sure, like they’re gonna make a rookie mistake and trip over layoff demographics, basically gift-wrap a class action. Not their first corporate kn--e fight. More likely legal’s been scrubbing the numbers for weeks to make sure every box is ticked and every group (age, gender, demographic, whatever) takes a hit.

I have been working in tech for 26 years and there is always someone that has to bring this angle into it. All that matters to these massive global companies is money.

Stop seeing it through the lens of victimhood and look at it for what it is - maximizing profit.

Racial, gender, identity politics is both a grift and a tool which is used to divide us.

Interesting post. I haven’t heard of any layoffs in Canada yet, but that’s not to say they aren’t happening. What organizations?
