You can relax. At least for now.

Not waiting around. Started applying this week and have interviews next week. If get offer, going to s_ck for somebody because other on team is leaving too, which may impact large project.

It’ll be nice if they actually do get rid of some VP and SVP who don’t do anything except relay messages down to their staff to figure out a solution and then take credit for it to look good to their bosses. Maybe we can save 3+ FTE with that loss...if only leadership was intelligent enough to realize that.

@ae the 6.26 date was accurate, but leadership adjusted when it was leaked here. 6.17 rifs but nothing yesterday were likely to enforce the narrative that this site isn't accurate. That list still exists and we all know it, even if you were sent over here to sow confusion.

This place has far too many levels of VP for years. Far too top heavy and that will never change -if they got rid of one VP - same as spitting in the ocean - no effect

@af they just posted a Pulse article on Anxiety. Nice advice given by the company that causes it in spades. Wow!!!!!! The audacity of Elevance. It’s not our fault you have anxiety! You just need to manage it better. Funny AF the timing of this. I’m taking it as buckle up, it’s gonna get worse. Better get mental health people on speed disk. Your gonna need it!

@ay it seemed like it was a blood bath on 6/17 when they let while departments go. Timing is good enough for me.

They said it would be a blood bath…… that sure didn’t happen…..having fun toying with us

@af You answered your own question. BECAUSE it would be the most humane thing to do, that is WHY they DON'T DO IT that way. They aren't, and cannot be, humane...or even human.

@ap It means maybe 1 or 2 people from an area got riffed as opposed to entire team. Some areas need to eliminate a person here or there to maintain the department but still required to reduce staff.

@an what do you mean

Targeted reductions (onesies and twosies) happened this week.

Just because no one has come to this site today to say they were riffed doesn’t mean no one was. Maybe they aren’t aware of this site or too upset to post here.

@ae I disagree. Dates that have been posted on this site for the past 2 years have been highly accurate. I was riffed on a date that had been predicted out for several months. When I saw the last minute meeting pop up on my calendar I was able to handle with grace due to advance warning. The last happened a little early this month. 6/17 which I think was due to leadership pettiness. Or circumstances we are unaware of but still very close to original predicted date.

@OP Liar! Just because you didn’t hear about it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

Grow up!

I wonder if the plan will ultimately be to get people to voluntarily leave or be terminated through the RTO policy so that they can avoid the RIFs.

Why is it a big issue for these senior folks or HR execs to let people know ahead of time that a RIF is coming? It’s not that anyone on here know who or what department. It would be the most humane thing to do to have people prepare instead of living in constant anxiety wondering. Do they know what anxiety and stress do to people’s health? Of course not. I can’t believe we call ourselves a health care organization with these leaders.

This is proof people are posting here with minimal information/context. Somebody pulled the 6/26 date out of their a$$ and just fear mongering. No doubt there will be future RIFs to come, but first thing first is to see how the RTO plan plays out.

What qualifies you to make that declaration. Not asking to be rude but if you can say that are you in HR or just saying that because you don’t know of anyone that got riffed.
