The severance pay is held until the equipment is returned. It su-ks that they are taking so long to send out the return package while keeping our money.

So what happens to me with my 20+ machines I was sent to test packages and such? Are they gonna send me 20+ boxes? What if a number of the machines I have are not in MyD or EMP? What the F do I do? I really would like my final payment and move on to a company that actually gives a $hit about those of us who worked on keeping this company afloat from a tech perspective...
You don't need to return your notebook to get your severance. That payment is timed to your termination. My severance was direct deposited the same day my empty shipping box arrived at the house. While I didn't sabotage the notebook, I mostly certainly wiped the he-l out of the hard drive before returning it.
No need for sabotage. If your laptop is old, it will likely be scrapped.

Go to the office and drop it off at the security desk. Get a receipt that includes the serial/model number of all hardware.
