Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

US layoffs confirmed for 3/31. Execs scrambling

I know there have been several posts so just adding confirmation based upon information provided by leadership that 3/31 is going to be a horrible day for Oracle. Executives on calls are very stressed and panicked as they assess impact across their organizations. Good luck everyone.

@a7 '...for when we are on PTO'. Yeah sure. Summer vacations and all.

Remember none of this is personal. I was impacted in the fall and had 7 years of "exceeds expectations" and had executive approval for a promotion right before the RIF. As did one of my directs. In our org it was IC3 all the way to M7.

None of it made any sense and we were all in shock. Some had been with the company for 20+ years, some for 4 years. We all

@aa I am in this exact same situation. IC4, consistent "exceeds expectations" on annual reviews, unvested RSUs, and in line for a promotion to manager as recently as 2 months ago. Manager confirmed severance email will hit in the morning.

Notified OOB I'm being RIF'd tomorrow. IC4, high performer, unvested RSUs. Emails going out in the middle of the night.

@a5 I did not pull that title from anywhere. It is purely a statement to summarize exactly what has been coming out of meetings from today. I’m not going to divulge what those sources were because this is an anonymous thread. You have the option to remain skeptical and if you are skeptical about any of this news, then why bother being on here. Take it or leave it.

I can confirm layoffs tomorrow for NSGBU USA. Verbal confirmation from my manager who asked us all to move our work to a shared folder "for easier" team access when we are on PTO. He made that ask this Friday and I now have a 1:1 with their direct manager tomorrow. RIP.

Op, and from where did you pull this information from? Another unverifiable rumor thread

I recognize the wording from the title. I am very skeptical.

Far deeper than expected. My team will be cut 41%. Don't know how I'm supposed to run this business now. Some truly top people added to the list by some nameless/faceless VP who doesn't know any of us.
