JPM AI investments are now break-even

https://nypost.com/2025/10/07/business/jamie-dimon-says-jpmorgan-spends-2b-a-year-on-ai-and-breaks-even-with-savings/

Due to our autistic upper and middle management, that means we're probably at least 5 years out before we see any material benefit. I don't know how much we're spending on AI, but I guarantee it's just bleeding $. Dimon is a piece of work, but you can't deny JPM's success under his leadership either.

Apparently CS was Dimon's protege, which may have actually been one of his biggest mistakes, seeing how woefully bad CS is in comparison. The only thing CS has managed to "transform" in 6+ years is a massive culling of American jobs and an extremely disgruntled workforce. $30mm / year clown.

I guess we'll find out next year if they are in the green, won't we?

$2B/yr to break even on tech that's predicted to replace half to most data entry jobs (order takers, accountants, and nurses).

Yet it's supposed to drastically reshape the economy in a decade?

GTFOHWTBS. AI is just another attempt at stripping income from the low-income folks so the wealthy can afford another vacation home and yacht.

I'm cool with I&P or robots in disguise replacing us all, just so long as I get my severance on my way out.

AI weirdos are so smug about rooting for their bosses to replace them with their g-y little chatbots

The firm needs to stop su-king and step it up. Its not just a WF problem, but a world order problem where China is already beating us.

This is like complaining about not having enough Indians working here

We cannot have a slop gap with JPM!

@a5 Complaining about not getting enough slop was a good touch even though it gave it away 😂

@a5 OP here. At various locations, AI now takes my taco bell and hardees orders when I am hungry for a super star combo meal. AI also schedules my many appointments over the phone when I call in for services. I wouldn't discount the value it will bring to WF! Sadly, by the time WF gets their ducks in a row, the bank will be obsolete and JPM will be king of the hill.

@a2 Honestly most of the people I work with, people like you, hallucinate worse. I know it chaps your hide to know you're being replaced by a machine, but that's life. Are you too d-mb to know how to spot when it's going off the rails and steer it back on track?

Actually, I can't really blame you. The best access you probably have is copilot in teams, or maybe copilot in github if you're in tech. Neither of which are all that great and that's not your fault. That's our failed leaderships fault. But, you could be proactive and learn with other tools in your spare time so you aren't left behind.

Yes the big issue with Charlie is that he's not laying people off fast enough to replace them with a hallucination engine. You're the autist with the absolutely deranged take, OP.

Gotta show the shareholders some intangible "savings" on the snake oil they're so in love with before the bubble pops.
