Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

October going to be large cuts!

Enjoy Columbus Day! The next day is going to be awful. Charlie’s not happy with our progress on expense reduction.

@jf heard the same thing when I posted about the hub strategy two years ago. Oh spreading fear…blah blah. Keep sticking your head in the sand.

Many opportunities to streamline and cut layers in Risk. Why are there so many directors there that have been coasting for decades?

Not sure. I think the severance expense is a pain in ar-e when it comes to hitting financial targets. Thats why corp risk is going to four days - trying to make people quit. I also saw a reminder to managers about reminding our direct reports about working a ‘full day’ in the office - which of course is undefined. I’m sure comp will be lower too.

Shart has zero vision. They only thing he knows how to do is hold exec meeting where he tells his people to keep downsizing as fast as possible. That's it, and we pay him $30M/year to drop that tu-d.

Expect s number of cuts before Columbus Day. It is just that time of the year. Charlie will stay on the same path.
