Emp engagement survey

Being told by numerous people that this survey is mandatory. Any truth to that? Why would the UP force people to take a survey about employee engagement? Forcing people to do a survey about "engagement" isn't really a good way to get people "engaged." Forcing just creates more disengagement. But I wouldn't expect the UP to understand that.

I lined the bird and cat boxes with cat litter with the survey. It's not changing anything. They'll do what they want and will

hahahaha maybe at some locations its voluntary. most senior leaders berate the frontline management pi---d they won't get a big enough bonus if there's not enough and in turn threaten to deny bonuses to them. "what? don't you want money? You know at the front line is one thing but as a senior manager it's even more, and as a director? well... that could be half my salary! plus the raise increases! you must not like money and i wont be getting shorted because of it!"

All you need to know about any employee survey conducted by a company: Your survey has a unique ID.

For the most part, the only reason a company does employee 'engagement' is to make the serfs feel like the company actually, remotely, gives a hoot. It keeps a surprising number of people from getting too restless.

Yeah...there's no chance I'm filling out that survey no matter how many times they try to shake me down to do it.

Survey is very much voluntary. Leadership would love for everyone to complete it though. Be honest in your feedback. Things will never get better if we don’t provide genuine feedback.
