And whether this will wrap up today?

There are still many names and positions already listed. Timing varies. Those positions already committed savings and baked into margin calculations.
Yes I’m in a position to know and I’m so sorry to those affected already and those who ultimately will be.
@156 The real test will be if any of those new postings actually get filled with the regular rank and file that apply.
I've seen quite a few postings up there for a while for teams and positions that desperately need people that just linger there, with applicants not receiving word one way or the other as to what's going on with those positions. Any attempts to ask if there's any movement on those fronts have been met with silence.
Hopefully these postings actually bear fruit for some people and there's some movement for some folks and they get those opportunities now. Given how so many people have been let go and barely a peep has been uttered regarding that, who knows?
@a2 what dept?
@rs, I believe the layoffs targeted only full-time employees, not contractors. In my department, every layoff was an FTE—none were contractors. We lost some truly outstanding team members, including several high-level Senior Directors. We were told the layoffs had nothing to do with the $1.8 billion shortfall… sure, right!
@v5 looks like some of the new positions they announced have already been posted. Also the promos they announced are all in the system. I don’t think it was smoke blowing, at least not this time. Seems legit.
@v5 we were told the same a new team being created and formed as we were told in May being outsourced, however teams are being let go before the new Jobs are available or an opportunity to apply anywhere when told originally that we had till end of 2025 beginning of 2026.
@v3 I will believe that when I see it. No one will be getting promotions, and they will definitely not be filling open positions or creating new ones. Imagine trying to placate the employees you have left by trying to dangle a nonexistent carrot in front of them. Sad and just fu-kig insulting, much less rude.
@v0 They were until Friday at least. Corporate Marketing let go of some folks but they spun it into something positive by also announcing promotions and new open positions over a department-wide meeting.
Are layoffs still being rolled out? Does anyone know?
@s2 whoa just out loud racism here. How nice.
I can guarantee you it's because of discrimination. Indians only hire Indians.
I’d like to raise a question regarding our current hiring practices. I was recently impacted by a layoff in my department, and I’ve noticed that some H-1B employees were retained while others, including myself, were let go. I want to be clear that I have nothing against the H-1B program or those who are part of it. However, I’m trying to understand the rationale behind continuing to hire H-1B candidates when we’re also making difficult decisions that affect both H-1B and non-H-1B employees. Sick of this leadership....
@ea what state??
@ds This sickens me in so many ways. I remember the days when "insourcing" and "onshoring" and no mass layoffs were built into the DNA of our company culture. There were always small rounds of layoffs, usually because the founder didn't believe in remote work and a lot of the companies acquired had hired people 2+ hours away from the office, but even those were few and far between.
This round of leaders has no such culture, because they do NOT share the founding values of this company. They exist exclusively for their own massive salaries and perks, not for their customers, and certainly not for the employees.
Serious hope for all let go. You do not deserve this.
Several were let go in the claims dept
@dr agreed and appeals and grievance are 2 different departments. Medicare appeals unfortunately can be and is being worked by NTT Data in India. Not here to spread lies or have people stress we are commenting to inform because the company sure is NOT informing us.
Medicare appeals we did have a meeting mid May and were told that by Q1 2026 we very likely will be all gone.
@dp Sorry there are some appeals that cannot be worked overseas esp grievances etc
@dm so dramatic lol. And you should try to remember the difference between something that shouldn't be done, and something that can't be done. This company does plenty of things it shouldn't do. Welcome to the show.
@dm wow no it’s not a lie. Why would you say that. I work appeals and they absolutely are working the cases overseas.
@a2 which department?
@ba train them? Oh my goodness no! I know in my department of appeals the outsourced are up and working. I don’t think we will make it to Q1 for us running out of work, it’s going to the outsourced team
@a4 I’m in Medicare appeals and they got 300 of us together and told us (some) of us will be laid off in Q1, didn’t say how many just told us to prepare and are now having us train the overseas employees they hired until Q1 when we get let go. They hired the EXACT number of employees my team currently has… very telling none us will be kept.
@a4 I work in Corporate Services, far removed from Ambetter and the other financially strained areas. I was told this is a company-wide restructuring and not directly tied to the financial issues—but honestly, I find that hard to believe. It seems clear that they have to recoup those losses somehow. Truly a sad day.
@a2 what dept? I’m sorry to hear this
It’s going to be bad for so so many
I doubt it that’s it’s today only. Probably just the beginning
100 employees in my department were let go this morning...
