Do they not realize that happy workforce equals profits and unhappy one brings major drops in productivity? It's been proven again and again. What's their aim here? To keep making us more and more miserable until what? We quit? Is that what this is all about?

@dq there is no list, what are you talking about
@dq Over the last few years companies have been implementing a strategy of "rolling layoff" under the cover of simple firings in numbers low enough to not trigger WARN. This is a deliberate strategy of plausible deniability. You can read several articles about this practice. This is clearly OT's strategy in the US.
The beatings will continue until moral improves ......
@dk that applies to firings, not layoffs (also Montana gets a pass from at-will employment but idk if we have people there.)
A lot of the US impact seems to be layoff - outside of sales where the turnover seems high. I'm not sure what's happening with them. I see accounts/clients being transferred almost yearly now despite it not being my dept.
Mass PIP-ing leading to firing would likely absolutely be on us. That may not happen until reviews are over. Probably July -Sept from the times I've heard.
We have until June, managers have until July - which lines up with layoff rumors or en masse PIP/removal for cause. If managers are even nudged to be done by 6/15 - there's 2 weeks to start a list.
@dj They can also fire in the US without cause. This isn't true everywhere else, and is probably driving RTO. They need that sweet, sweet manufactured cause.
@dc The US employees are the most costly and the most likely to be eliminated.
@db not every employee is in the US
@c5 Stays below WARN act requirements.
@ac 500 only ? That's a tiny number
That’s why I quit, and I’ve been here 25 years.
I agree moral is at an all time low and I've been here 10 years, nobody seems to care right now
@a1 Given that the workforce is at bare bone level, who will train the new hires? Most existing staff are at full capacity ++ and would not be able to. Omboarding will be a negative experience for new hires....
@a1 We are not hiring! We are firing senseless… A new layoff wave is coming, more than 500 people will lose their jobs in July
@OP It does seem that way. Pi-s-poor way to run a business.
@OP we are hiring and returning to growth
