IT People that got Laid Off

Hey IT people that were laid off. Curious what dept you worked in. Were you CCOE, OIA, Dev, tech support? And can you share what the severance package was? Or your experience leading up to the layoffs?

Sorry again to everyone affected, but since you're no longer with the company, you shouldn't feel a need to hold back info on your previous role. Especially knowing that they let you go to hire a cheaper person from HIH or Ireland to replace you. Feel free to vent, I think it'd be helpful for everyone

I just got laid off too. It seems like their layoffs happen on Thursdays. I suppose I will be replaced by some HIH if not replaced by Lex already. My dept has merit bonuses / raises in mid-March. I am guessing I won't get any of those although I don't term til late April.

@cx could be, in my particular case it’s a month or two. My co-worker is covering my Production Support weeks until the new hire is in. They haven’t even interviewed yet. Manager has no reason to lie and put strain on the rest of the team which is very small now.

@aj "They are hiring an HIH replacement in the next month or two" From what I have seen they have already interviewed a replacement in HIH, and will be hiring them NEXT WEEK after this round of stateside layoffs is complete.

@aj I was forced to train my 3 HIH replacements for software development. For everybody not familiar, HIH is the offshoring of jobs to India.

Developer, also Evernorth, same experience. It really su-ks to be let go from someone who doesn’t even understand what you do, lol. They are trimming the fat from the wrong end of the company.

I was an Application Developer Advisor, Band 4, Evernorth. Based on my experience, ever group that isn’t @Cignahealthcare gets hits harder than the rest.

No warnings, just a meeting with the Director. They are hiring an HIH replacement in the next month or two (co-worker told me).

Got the full severance as notated in hr. 2 weeks per year. Equated to 6 years for me. Got full bonus. Termination doesn’t take effect till end of April so your paid till then. Then your sev
