Thread regarding Texas Instruments Inc. layoffs

Weeklies

In DMOS6, all engineers need to send weeklies for the fab manager, which is very time consuming. All the TI started doing it or just DMOS6?

@ck IT personell had to do this in 2023. we were required to categorize our inputs to specific descriptors so they could easily be categorized. After several months of this nonsense the data must have been analyzed by KP and her direct reports and layoff''s came in 2024

Use AI to write these reports. Let it go thru your emails, ppt files, or other documents you generated as part of your work. Let it summarize and send the report. Don't need to put more additional work now a days for such reports

@OP Are all DM6 engineers now direct reporting to fab manager ? I doubt it. Classic micromanaging tactic.

This is historically what teams do when they're evaluating people for a layoff

You have a new fab manager. She is evaluating her new team.
