Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Is HR the reason corporations su-k?

Just got done with the annual review dog and pony show and rolling my eyes. Imagine the time and cost giving every person in this company a meaningless review. Just the documentation takes more time than it should. And for what? They mean nothing and because of stack ranking they aren’t even accurate. HR just created it to make work for themselves. Kind of like the annual training and career seminars that could be replaced with a half page email. The point of HR is to make more work for HR.

HR Head works for CEO and was brought in specifically to execute his personnel vision.

HR is not there to represent or protect all the rank and file employees. They are there to protect senior management and the reputation of the company. If any regular low level employee files any type of complaint no matter how much in the right they are, HR will label them as a problem to be monitored or eliminated.

HR isn’t responsible. The leaders set the strategic direction and HR enforces it. Every company has distribution guides unfortunately WF management hasn’t been good at differentiating performance so now it feels forced.

HR exists to do the companies bidding and to employee people who would otherwise be unemployable for EEOC purposes. Thats it.

HR is just rubber stamp, they do what big boss told them to do. Take some blame for big boss too.
