Got laid off last November and it was a relief to get off that merry go round and enjoy the holidays again

We’ll get ready cause UHG earning call is on the 29th of January and they will need to show they are able to make them pesky shareholders happy and make sure the stock price does not drop so layoffs will be part of that strategy. This will be a wild ride.
Manager told us to be ready for a hard year and that he is available for any recommendation for anyone looking to leave.
Definitely agree OP. I really don’t know how to function knowing that I can be laid off at any time. As much as I want to maintain a cool head and continue to think critically, the psych part is overwhelming.

@a1 I'm sorry that happened. As I've been job hunting I find myself evaluating what the company does and if it looks like one Optum would want to buy I dont apply.
