Thread regarding PNC layoffs

Who will volunteer?

I doubt there will an abundance of employees wanting to engage/volunteer in PNC Grow Up Great activities going forward due to the announcement today. I will no longer offer my personal time. It must be on company time, if I even decide to continue to do it. Who has time to volunteer when you’re spending hours during a 5 day work week just to commute to work!? I will no longer contribute to the United Way either. Why should PNC get the recognition for my donation? I hope you all will stand with me on these topics.

You do know that you can volunteer on company time, right? With 40 hours of paid volunteer time that we all log into the system, near as I can tell that is just as good as working in the office. Do several 2-3 hour sessions and with commute time to and from your home. The rest of the day becomes WFH. Pretty sure you’re not going to get called out and you’ve now got some flexibility on anywhere from 15-20 days or so throughout the year.

@a1 Hard facts. It's become a major dumpster fire from those I know who work for them.

Do the absolute bare minimum for your job description.

They want you to do more? Tell them it is out of scope.

They want you to be a 'team player'? Tell them to be more a 'team leader'.

Time for that good old fashion malicious compliance.
