Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Any new info about the coming week?

I’ve kind of gotten used to expecting bad news every day, but it would be good to know whether we at least have another couple of weeks without cuts.

I was given a completely new job title, new responsibilities and was never told until 10 months later I noticed it and asked about it. No raise or pay-grade change ( there should have been ). Then comes review time and I get a lower score because I am still covering the old job as I was never directed that my responsibilities had changed and there is nobody to do the old job. Once I got my review I gave my notice and left.

@a5 How did you find/figure that out?

@aa I have the same title and pay but the role is now level 30 and not 31. Expecting little to no RRP anyway but this is a clever way for the company to reduce % of bonus.

The more scary thing is I am on the high end of the 30 pay band where I was middle of 31. So I am ripe for layoffs.

@aa Sounds like the job was reclassified, like from a 28 to 27 or what have you. Never heard of that happening before, but that doesn't mean it didn't.

@a5 what is a delayered pay level? Do you mean you were demoted to a lower pay level?

My position was delayered a pay level sometime between November and now. Unsure if it’s a sign the axe is falling or just the company reducing future raise and bonus potential.
