Reapply to VZW after 6 month time restriction

Any1 tryna to or hoping to re apply after their severance for a vzw role that opens up in a similar part of the business after their 6 mo timeframe expires? Guess you can be rehired after 6 months. Anyone’s supe tell them they will try and bring them back into a similar role after 6 months? Anyone’s leaders say they foresee spots opening back up in the next few months? Mine keeps telling me that she swears she will be able to get me back into another sales role in the biz in a few months timeframe with new reqs. Anyone else hearing this? What do y’all think?

They have done 13000 of us a huge favor by letting us out of this toxic relationship. Don’t look back, the chaos is only going to escalate from here.

Why would they lay you off if you ate so valuable to get rehired. The best revenge is find another job and be your best!!!

Yeah I was RIF'd in 2023 and a bunch of reps I knew were gonna try to reapply after 6 months. As far as I know none of them are back with the company. That's just a way to pacify u but the likelihood of it happening seems slim.

Why would you be any any to work for Verizon again? That's like being with someone that leaves you for someone else and the moment they break up you shoot your shot again. Move on. There's more fish in the sea. Other companies would be delighted to have Verizon employees on their payroll.

The best thing to do is move on. The Verizon landscape isn't a good one anymore. Those days are long gone. Look for something better and you'll look back one day and be glad you left.

@bh they told me no they would not hire back at the same base and vacation (tenure) it would be brand new again. But I previously worked with someone where when they were laid off about a year or so ago they were recently rehired and they were able to negotiate getting their previous tenure back in their offer

Will they hire back at the same rate, vacation time?

If you have been with the company for at least the last 10 years, you know they rehire people all the time. Sometimes, they even offer better roles than before, to be honest.

@a1 they stated everyone was rehirable. How do you know people are blacklisted?

@OP You're on their black list. They gave you a severance and showed you the door. They will NOT rehire you. End of story! Stop living in fantasy land and face reality. You need to find another job elsewhere.
