HR at this company stopped being about people a long time ago, they love to talk about supporting employees, WLB, open communication. but try bringing them a real issue and see how fast they shut down. The second you speak up youre labeled as negative or not a team player. Totally useless. All effort is made to protect the higher ups and the co, nothing for the worker. Disgusting.

I'll take another shyt sandwich with a side of Workday.
You asked and we listened! HR loves our vteamers. We’re family! We are delighted to offer our employees a 3 day hybrid with zero enforcement, accountability or sense. We also are thrilled to announce that hiring will primarily take place in New York, New Jersey and Texas. It will be such a vibe! And if you aren’t in these locations, don’t mind us while we don’t answer your questions or acknowledge that you exist. Our AI bots are here for you. Let’s go build the future together. Thanks fam!
Hello? HR is not and never was your advocate. They exsist to protect the company FIRST and a lot of that means supporting what the senior team wants.
Had an issue with a manager who treated us like absolute sh1t. HR helped have the person removed from their position.
While I do believe they are typically in place to protect the company, there are times when they have to hear the people and take appropriate action for them.
The experience did not affect my ability to move about the company.
HR is there to protect the company not the worker. The sooner you realize that, the easier you'll be able to set your expectations working for this company.
I was told early on in my career that, unless someone is asking you to do something illegal, never go to HR in this company. You’ll be labeled a “problem” and you’ll never be promoted again. I’ve seen it happen many times.
@OP Sadly today’s HR primary objective is to protect the company and mgt team instead of being an advocate for employees.
Worst HR department ever. I only had one issue with an inappropriate coworker and nothing was done,
Sadly that seems to be applicable to all HR teams. They are not the employees friend
@a1 correct. But also, that's not what they are telling the worker.
@OP that’s every company though. HR has never been about what’s right for employees
