I made it through, but from here on out, all my focus is on finding a new job. I’m done with Target. There were some good years, but this isn’t the company I joined ten years ago.

The company you joined 10 years ago literally had just completed a layoff similar to this
@a1 I’m happy to see other’s are adopted Fiddlestix as the new CEO name.
This is exactly what they want, more people to quit so they don't have to pay severance for the next round. I'm convinced they handled this poorly on purpose to encourage more "soft" layoffs.
Unfortunately, the leaders at Target made some terrible decisions a few years ago. They decided it was a good idea to go woke which pi---d off conservatives and then they tried to switch course to get conservatives back which pi---d off liberals. In the end Target leaders possessed off all their customers and now they are seeing the consequences of bad leadership.
Super corny to come on here and tell folks you kept your job. What would compel you to do such a thing?
@OP wish my spouse had done this earlier. the writing has been on the wall for a while. and when fiddlestix was tapped and Christina run out, it was all but confirmed. you're right, this isn't the target you started working for. my husband's boss was run out of their job just a few weeks ago because their new boss didn't think they were committed enough. they were forced out and since then it's been work 24/7 for everyone else. new culture vibes. more UHC than Target (or what Target used to be).
