Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

PTO Disparity

Just when youthink HCSC can’t go any lower it does!! 😱😱😱 if you are mid professional and have been at HCSC under five years and live in Illinois good for you, you get three extra days a year. But for those that live in Texas and other states, you don’t!! I guess HCSC couldn’t level up the field of PTO to make it right.

@e0 They most certainly did notify those who did not get the PTO enhancement. My entire team received the email.

@e0 completely untrue. 75% of my team is Texas, and we all got the email.

@b8 The change has zero to do with the current mayor, the change impacts the entire state due to legislation. Stop making up stuff.

This was apparently the plan. This is not what happened.

Yeah they really nailed that targeted communication. All of my team in TX and OK received the email telling them their counterparts in IL were getting more PTO and rollover than them.

@e0 Except they did notify at least some of them. By mistake.

Only employees in states who are positively impacted with enhanced PTO or Paid Sick & Wellness received a notification. Employees in approximately 40 states PTO and PSWD are staying the same and Senior leadership team purposely chose not to notify those employee to avoid blowback.

@c5 Id--tic senior leadership who is not impacted by the change themselves, but will be the first to tell people to quitchyerbitchin. Real empathy there (not).

Just another blow to morale. It is hard being a front line Manager with our id--tic senior leadership making d-mb decisions constantly and we are supposed to deal with it.
