If management had to spend even a single week working under the same strict rules they’re pushing on us, they’d see how unrealistic and counterproductive they are. It’s easy to make policies from an office far away, but when you’re the one dealing with constant pressure and impossible targets, those rules just don’t hold up. Maybe if the people making these decisions actually experienced them firsthand, they’d think twice before rolling them out.

Just look at some of the promotions over the years that went to people who were absolutely useless at even a low level role. The company has zero clue on how to track their talent.
Because management has no idea about the day to day reality of doing business. There is a thick layer of a-s kissing, strap hanging middle managers who have bonus checks and political fiefdoms riding on making sure that never happens. Try and make that connection and you'll get shut down, as the DPMs were when they tried. And, in some cases, senior managers are part of that problem (ahem, Zulfi and Kamal) because they think they can speak the reality they're peddling into existence.
If you can get them down to that level and get them to realize it, the brown nosing, a-s covering culture of the company will go into self healing mode and move the middle management pawns around to ensure that doesn't last long.
But gosh n' golly, can't seem to figure out why we've been 'transforming' for over a decade and not one damn thing has changed.
Levels or management from first line up can be still be shed. They do nothing to assist direct reports, think delegation is the answer to everything, and sit and read Excel sheets. If company wants be more efficient drop the still excessive levels of seat filling management zeroes that are costing $$$ and do nothing to add value to the front line. Dont take my word - make cuts and see if you honestly see any negative impact in production. You wont.
@a1 yet you are loyal to the core and keep hanging in there .!?!
@OP yawn
That my friend would require these creatures to have some accountability. They don't know the definition of the word.
Never underestimate the level of incompetence and utter stupidity of the nimrods in the ivory tower. And their sociopathic and mega-ego mindsets should never be overlooked.
You work in pretty much everything wrong in every facet of corporate America with this company.
