I don't qualify for the early retirement benefits so I haven't read the letter. Is it true that Centerwell leadership is being targeted and may be RIFFED? What does that mean for me as a CIT employee?

@by not everyone got it, some, like me, are exempt from.
@by Read the documents. The $5k transition stipend will be grossed up, i.e. associates will receive $5,000 after taxes.

Isn't this age discrimination? Everyone over 50 with more than 3 years of service got this email. I work in shipping and packing and we have hired like 9 new people all young of course. Sounds to me like they are trying to get rid of the old and people who may be on restrictions. This place is a mess ! No one is happy! This new robust retirement plan is a joke all they did was throw 5 grand at you... which I am sure will be taxed .... this company does nothing for the employee. All about the bottom dollar ! Right !?

@a1 for the two years I've worked for CIT, it has been unstable like people are always worried about being let go or laid off or something. It just doesn't feel safe here but I'm going to ride it out because I work mostly from home. We only have two directors and one is like 59 and the other isn't 50. I wonder if they will let both go or just the older one? It makes me sad because it will be hard at her age to find a job.
My manager told me today that her director is going to be let go, I don't know of it's because of ERB or not. I think the director is 58 or 59 so she would qualify. But if they get rid of directors that means something major will happen to the care integration team.
