I was at this company for two years and had nothing to do. I asked for work many times, but was told there was none. I left last year and found a job that i do more than wait for work. Sad thing is, I was paid very very well to do nothing. This company is in real trouble. Get out while you can.

@OP welp, this can be seen here when we have 5 plus layers of management and direct workers assigned the workload of 5 associates and never able to catch up. Perhaps better pay and hiring should be directed to those with all the work.
My spouse interviewed for a well placed IT position..they offered like $125-130K… he laughed at them. It was a 200K+ job anywhere else. So not sure who’s pulling in 400K here.

Making $400k, nobody should be 'assigning' you work. At that level, you should have been coming up with ideas of work to do on your own. Who in leadership got a kick-back for hiring you then? Were you a DEI hire?

It is to prove H1B and green card applicants highly qualified workers. It is used in Big Tech and others. No American can do the work, by not given any work to do. Then we lay off the American workers.
