So, it seems the leaders weren’t happy as now some are being asked to meet with HR directly? Do they think people are going to say anything without the ability to remain anonymous? Good luck with that. I think HR should review this board if they want to know what people really think.

HR says they represent the employee...to the employee.
HR's job is to lie to the employee on behalf of the employer.
HR Employees are equivalent to lawyers in what they do and how they do it....both will lie straight to your face.
Words of wisdom. HR and your management team are not your friends. This is a corporate machine now. I don’t trust any of them at this point. Those days are over as they are only looking out for themselves and ultimately the shareholders.
HR is not an ally to any employee base. Their sole purpose is to be a buffer to mitigate escalation from developing into larger conflicts. Involving them in your drama will put a target on your back for not being capable of problem management resolution. HR is not a substitute for a union rep.
HR will use friendly interrogation tactics to filter out if there’s any company risk or EEOC violation. Do not bother talking shop to HR, that’s not their business and they can’t be bothered to know.
If none, employees will be gaslighted, instructed how to employ self conflict resolution skills following with a fake smile to encourage employees to check out compensation website for resources. M’kay?
Just tell them what they want to hear.
