Thread regarding MetLife Inc. layoffs

Whose the next ELT to be out?

Probably not Pappy since he seems to be BFF with MK. My money is on Black Jacket.

Knowing this company worse is exactly what they'll hire. We wouldn't want to improve wages and upset shareholders.

Let the record show that this looks like a legitimate voluntary retirement.

Don't get too happy. She wasn't too bad, and her replacement could be far worse.

@1tht+1nVRH5Xl - let me guess... that IT AVP is also an instructor on the side with a famously known cyber training org that has four letters all in CAPS?

Not sure about CFO being next.

It's a publicly visible position and switching CFO's without apparent cause signals the stock market that there is trouble in the company.

He makes the right noises about DEI, etc. Unless a major financial mistake happens on his watch, I think he's safe, for a while.

I'm still not clear on whether the leavers see a storm coming and are getting out while they can (what do they see?), or whether they are suddenly being pushed out (why?)

A guy in real estate might know something.

@zcw+1nVRH5Xl There is a certain AVP in IT who does nothing but stir the pot and su-k up to the Exec level who should go. He has no direct reports, yet jumps into every call, overtakes it, demands everyone listen to him and produces nothing of tangible value. He is, without a doubt, the biggest producer of vaporware I've ever seen.

@OP+1nVRH5Xl Pappy's too entrenched and as for Black Jacket, nope. Far too visible as a poster-child.

Rest assured, the inept AVPs will remain, just because you know, every village needs an ID! 0T

No way Black Jacket is next, unless she truly voluntarily retires.

They need females in executive positions for the 2030 DEI commitment (see here: https://www.metlife.com/sustainability/DEI-commitments/ )

A better bet would be an older, white male.
