Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Heard that UOP is to be sold in discussion

Wall Street said that UOP has nothing to do with automation or Honeyhell Technologies, it seems that finally kids in high school used AI to find out that UOP has nothing to do with automation or never will. what a bless!

the same story from their Q2, revenue down, margin down, but booking up? If you are a 20s junior wall street footballer, do you have brain good enough to ask the data to see how consistent the lie is?

@aj They will be, once they leave with HPS. Things are already in motion, with UOP taking over as tge HPS CTO. Cote brought HPS, away from the old Automation & Controls of old ACS into PMT for the synergies with UOP.

Absolutely it will be a disaster. Remember Cote put UOP together with HPS because the “Wall St. analysts were pointing out syneergies. A young UOP person is now already HPS CTO, fresh after running technology function of the now spun off Solstice business. As Cote used to say, he absolutely loved the UOP technologies. Honeywell is so better off with UOP. More UOP people should run Honeywell.

of course it will - UOP is a fantastic standalone business. Some of the best and brightest in the oil and gas industry work there. Unfortunately some of the talent churned away several years ago - thinking particularly about a brilliant GM that had many patents and was pushed out.

UOP literally designs refineries and is the engineering partner to the major energy companies globally. Think about that.

@aj pretty sure every company acquired by Honeywell wishes it could go back to being its own company.
