Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Better places exist

We're so used to being mistreated that we forget other companies treat their people better. I'm leaving as soon as I can.

It's true that wells fargo is abnormally toxic. I joined another toxic company but they still treat people a lot better than Wells Fargo.

It’s good to have hope but the entire landscape is changing everywhere. The world is not altruistic. Just look at REI. Easier to adjust your tolerances and find a place that meets them vs looking for this “grass is greener” place.

I know of 14 people who have left. So far 3 are happier/in a better position. But one is a new exit, two have been gone and work for the same new employer who offered full remote but even that company has made major changes to include Hybrid schedules for all new hires. How much longer until they make it retro? Who knows.

If it were easy to find better places everyone including yourself would already be gone.

Many people feel the world seemed better in the 90s and early 2000s because workplace culture was different and management was comprised of native born workers. Leadership often emphasized empathy, stability, and a healthier work‑life balance, which shaped how employees experienced their jobs.
