Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Trying to confirm July rumors

I've been hearing a lot of talk about more layoffs coming next month. At first I dismissed it, but the rumors keep getting louder. Does anyone have any actual information? Are these just rumors or is something really happening?

Finance holding back performance assessment communications until after quarter close so anyone unhappy with their result doesn't checkout or quit before the books get closed. This is peak disingenuous management. Pretending to care about people while making it obvious the only thing they actually care about is protecting themselves and in this case not jeopardizing quarter reporting before pushing more of their most valued assets out the door.

Hahahah layoffs and last year. They’ve been doing this for a long time but small % and even smaller enforcement. Since 2020 that shocked them and decided to protect the animal even more for the long haul.

No layoffs, ExxonMobil values their employees, in fact they are their most important asset. Employees can have a long and diversified career, it's a really great time to be starting a career at ExxonMobil... well unless you get PIPd. So glad I am nearly done, I can't stand EM, feel sorry for the younger employees.
