I've never been laid off, I have no idea how these things work and I have a bad feeling about today.

Nope had full access but didn't do anything other than paperwork for my new gig they took over timesheet logging. Got uninvited of all recurring meetings
I'd advise save a letter of your employment get that autogenerated get all your paystubs and as much info as you can grab. eventually got to a point I couldn't email my own personal data to my private email so that did change after the 1st week or two (zero issues prior)
@aa Most managers know the 2 weeks is non-productive time so they leave you alone to job search.
idk why people are saying you have 100% time to apply for other jobs and nothing else. in my side of things, they expect you to work and do knowledge transfer at least 75% of the time
I got access for the day I was laid off to apply internally to positions, but after that my access was removed. I did get paid for 2 more weeks of work though.
Almost everyone retains access for 2 weeks and you get that time to mostly focus on applying for internal or external jobs with no expectation to be online (unless you need to do some knowledge transfer).
Only people that have certain accessess that pose a security risk might be deactivated immediately.
No, not unless they are worried for some reason. There is a process to have it immediately removed but that’s the exception.
@OP No, you have complete access for your 2 weeks. You have no work responsibilities, you can use al the resources to look for employment elsewhere in the co.
It depends, I guess. I was in marketing and had access through my final day (two weeks after RIF).
