FIS management is playing games with employees.. some given severance, some transferred to Cognizant to be eventually riffed.
@OP in the UK, employment law ensures that employees transferred to Cognizant take the terms of their contract with them, so existing terms and conditions (including pay, hours, and holiday entitlement) transfer with them. so are not unhappy with the situation, it’s better than being RIF’d.
@a9 some senior leaders found this out recently, the bell tolled for them. One of them had thirty years in, had built his group up from scratch and was a decent person. The rare combination of smart and well liked. They bounced him right out. They were devastated and worried about the employees left just as stunned with no leadership plan in place. Their leader was laid off as well, that individual was smug pr--k. It sounds as if META actually has strategies and plans. FIS never will.
@OP It's the mind fu-k that is so hard to take. That stress and pressure is unforgiveable.
@a9 eventually most of them will be rebadged soon and some will go home. It's around the corner so watch out...
What is sad is that some remaining - whether they were rebadged or not - still do not see the big picture. I’m not going to claim to know the end picture, but it sure does not look good for the average employee.
