Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

layoffs.com monitored?

This site is a potential gold mine for management, assuming they genuinely care about understanding what employees are thinking. Reading this board gives a pretty clear view of what is happening inside the organization, though I could be wrong.

Management should identify the main themes being discussed on Layoff.com and measure engagement around them, then do the same on LinkedIn. Combining those two data points would likely provide a much more accurate picture of what is happening on the ground.

The board should require executives to do this instead of relying on sanitized surveys that get massaged beyond recognition.

Food for thought.

Hate to disappoint all the conspiracy theorists, but this site has thousands of forums and a basic set of rules that applies to all of them. Follow standard netiquette and your post will probably stay up.
In other words, the mods don’t care whether you’re dunking on or hyping up Chucky or G2 - as long as you’re not dropping f-bombs and hurling personal insults..

@g6 they usually clean up only once per day. Try posting something racist by yourself and see it disappear or your IP get blocked.

Anything to do with politics, specific institutions, ethnicity and religion are getting deleted. Any comments related to top executives that are negative in nature are getting deleted. Obviously some clever gibberish comment are getting deleted.

In some cases IP address is blocked from further commenting.

Based on recent observations, most of the comments are usually getting deleted during night time PST, I wonder which countries have day time working hours during PST night time. Also there are very frequent postings about that goon to be next CEO.

This site is under strict surveillance. Many comments are being removed, especially if they are critical or revealing dirt on the corrupt Chucky and g2 mafia running Cisco. I am also 100% convinced that three letter agencies are monitoring the two imbeciles mentioned above since the posts in here seem to be removed by nonetheless archived somewhere.

The job market has radically shifted towards the employers in the past year. I doubt they really care what the employees are thinking. People will work hard or get laid off. A lot of people will work hard and still get laid off. Keep your manager happy because they may be the ones who will decide who goes and who stays. They may not have anything to say if the criteria isn't based on performance. The list of companies laying off is longer than the list of companies hiring. Those hiring are looking for very specific skills and you better know someone on the inside. Lots of people are going to become long term unemployed over the next few years.

cisco does no use thelayoff.com. Its sample size is too small. Cisco uses engagement pulse and other metrics showing a very positive picture of the company.

@a7 only 6? Cisco has been doing layoffs since 2001, your count must be off. (given the kind of politics and nasty tricks they play to get rid of employees).

@OP do not give them ideas., they will know top secrets shared here.
