Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

RTO

If anyone from management or HR is reading this, please don’t change our current WPE policy. BAC does not give compensation increases to majority of the workforce. Flexibility is the one thing keeping us going. If you want people to quit, it will be the wrong people. Seriously an employer who wants to continue to have a flexible 3 days in office schedule.

@da - HR stopped doing that post-2008. Only Retail (Consumer) division kept "associates".

Once Montag came in over Markets, then GCIB, then Commercial Banking, then Leasing, etc., the entire corp/inst side of the house moved swiftly to "employees".

(I know, b/c Sheri ("Chief Peopl Office" -- ha!) made me write the cr@p we sent out to all those Employees.)

@aa
Typical non-response from HR. This is the type of response that Americans are fed up with. Just own it. Just be transparent. Stop being fake because we all see right through it.

@OP Say exactly this in the comments section on the survey. 99.9% sure they won't care or even read it but its worth a shot. We all should write something like that.

And since HR is apparently here, please consider treating holidays and PTO as a day in the office.

That’s the whole point… they want natural attrition. There are no “good ones.” Everyone is replaceable… only there’s no actual replacement. They justify giving more work to the ones who are left holding the bag because AI is supposed to make people more efficient. So what used to take two people now only needs 1. And maybe eventually none. Save on personnel expense, higher NII, happier shareholders, richer execs. No one gives two craps about the plebs at the bottom doing all the work. You’ll sit in a miserable cubical all day with a headset on and you’ll be happy about it!

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We understand that workplace flexibility is an important factor for many employees, and we recognize the role it plays in supporting both productivity and overall well-being.

As we continue to evaluate our Workplace Excellence (WPE) policy, we are carefully considering employee feedback alongside business needs, collaboration goals, and long-term organizational priorities. Our intent is to create a sustainable approach that supports both our workforce and the company’s success.

We encourage employees to continue sharing feedback through official channels, as these insights are valuable in shaping decisions moving forward.
