For the past year I was cruising. Top ratings, visible work, direct revenue impact. I thought I was as safe as anyone could be. Then a scheduled call a couple of weeks ago happened and just like that, I was gone. So for anyone at PayPal who thinks their performance or relationships will protect them, think again. We're all just numbers. When someone up high decides your time is up, that's it.

Nobody's safe.
At this point I'm sending out applications and viewing my time at PayPal as a month-by-month affair, just hoping it lasts long enough for some RSUs to cash in.
@OP i mean when the ceo gets canned in less than 3 years does anyone really think they're safe? this is the world we live in - work is a transaction
Yep… getting fired turned out to be the best thing that could’ve happened to me.
It sounds hard to believe, but it’s true—don’t lose hope. There’s something better than PayPal out there waiting for you.
I know lots of people who were made redundant from $hitpal. They all tell me its the best thing that happened them. They've all got jobs and are doing perfectly fine. I'm sure you'll get on your feet again and so will everyone else. Good luck.
