Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Culture Week during 4/30 layoff week. The irony is comical.

The Culture Week "pep rallies" and platitudes of how much this company cares about the culture and it's employees is nauseating, especially during a week when another round of layoffs is happening.

@g2 I refuse to fill out the survey unless specifically asked to by my manager like I was last year. I have a different manager this year. When I was ordered to last year, I kept it entirely vague and middle of the road because anyone who thinks those surveys are anonymous is delusional.

@OP Was it about a year ago? Right after some layoffs swept through our division and workloads increased to unmanageable levels, they sent out Employee Surveys. I honestly don't know if it's incompetence anymore. I feel like it's whatever they have to do to show a profit today, and they'll fix it tomorrow with what feels like a goal of a bunch of wealthy people eating up the profit before the whole thing burns to the ground.

Maybe they’ll reward “loyal” employees with another 1% 401K cut. Customers told me we su-k. Culture died during COVID. Made worse with the cyberattack. Just water dripping from a pipe.
