Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

What I like about BNY

As an analyst it’s pretty obvious what the company tries to hide from you. Before I left last year I was getting paid 40 hours a week to practice interviewing, suggest other analysts do the same

Look up to see what the guy at the top made last year off of all your efforts. WhT would he give a damn about any of this. #corporate corruption# with that kinda financial profiting , all the more reason to treat workers like dirt

@OP as an analyst you are physically there and can see what they are doing so they can’t really hide. That said, you are not the target of their unethical behavior. If you find yourself in an interesting role may be able to gain some valuable experience and all will most likely be well for a few years. After that, all bets are off. BNY is not a long term play in current form and shows no signs of changing. Fake performance reviews, termination for no reason, little to no severance, walking on glass, etc etc. This probably seems like a mixed response but those are the facts as I see them. Analysts, ex Goldman Sachs regardless of age, their friends/ former associates all fine. Everyone else there, not fine.
