That was two years ago. Still waiting. Promotions are clearly frozen forever. Just wish they'd say it instead of dangling the carrot. I'll probably be gone before it ever happens anyway.

We are all "on track" for death but it doesn't mean it'll happen today or next year so technically they did not lie.
Even basic research online will tell you promotions at Oracle don’t happen.
My organization of 30 is majority IC4, a little % IC3. More than half are told they are on track for IC5 but there isn’t even a single person who has ever attained that. Lol.
It's called a carrot 🥕 on the stick, so you will get energized and do more and perform more well - For nothing.
Same here. I'd rather get a raise than a promotion. I've seen a few people that got a promotion with hardly any raise. Just lay us all off already and rip off the bandaid.
