Pat Conway must run this website partime. Why does any comment with his name mentioned get taken away?

So they are moving people back to UHC. I guess that’s the writing on the wall. Couple of years back they moved 1500 nurses to Optum to do UR for revenue cycle and they denied to the tune of billions. Including those 2 snf cases that now the judge wants to see what their AI was doing. He has requested records on AI denials. Of course they the company are like snakes . But saw plenty of denials that made no sense because the patient was in acute and needed to go to rehab. Navitas was up to no good and there was no one to intervene. The managers were letting it happen. I hope they lose their pants on this one.

@c9 as I stated earlier, its "re-orging" moving people from Optum to UHC...same job just different organization. They wouldn't lay people off with a meeting that says "...join us for an exciting business update as we share what's ahead". What's exciting about layoffs. So NO.....if was just moving work around and splitting teams

@OP
So the event was around re-orging folks out of an Optum property and into UHC?

Fascinating if that's the case. Far from conclusive evidence, but does suggest there's likely not to be much Optum in the USA in the future.

@c0 It's not a layoff. Those that attend will know and will check in here I'm sure.

Business Update means layoff…this is the email Subject line of my previous co-workers who were laid off.

the email "business update". It's not a layoff. It's shifting people around to diff teams out of Optum

They did that to 600 of us in Housecalls back in January. Told us to be prepared to be layed off……then last week we were told we were safe. Really exhausting ordeal and I still don’t believe I’ll ever be safe….
