My boss just told me that he was asked to rack and stack his people. Seems that mid-April we will have a RIF.
He said this is going to be a big one. He was also asked about people over 50 in our group. Seems that the old folks are going to shoulder the brunt of this one.
He also shared that this will be both a salary and an hourly reduction.
Hearing from multiple teams that Collins did another round of small, targeted reductions this week. Several functions were impacted including parts of the legal/contracting/compliance side of the house.
Anyone else hearing similar things from their org?
We have heard Rockford is currently evaluating at this time as well. Have not had a significant reduction since the 20'/21' Covid timeframe. What facility are you in?
@dyk Do you know approximately how many people were laid off today (6/11/2026)? I am over 50 and got sent on my merry way.

Yes, I heard HR employees laid off in Cedar Rapids and if like last years layoffs more areas to follow within the next week and complete before earnings release on the 21st.

They laid off HR personnel at the site level today (some, not all).
@mn At the rate they are going I would say all sites. Start looking elsewhere asap.
I was 62 and always worked hard and had great reviews. Been there for 35 years.
Tapped on the shoulder and taken to the nearest exit. Humiliating way to end a great career.
Found a job at a smaller company where they actually respect and value the employees. Much happier now!!!

@OP I believe it! I’m over 60 got the boot September 2025. 2 co workers got the boot, one was over 60, other one 55. Sad I wish I could sue them for age discrimination. I was there over 14 yrs. seen a lot of ppl go from conformal coat, inspection job then into QAT within a 3 yr span? It’s not what you know but who you know. Let’s just say favoritism runs rampant at the Melbourne Florida campuses.😠
Will this be centered in Mission Systems, Avionics, Cedar, Richardson, Largo???
