Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Some quick tech fixes….

  1. Sec has had hundreds of people working for years and is a sh-t show. Don’t lay off the Nike IC’s. Fire the leadership and the vendor. Nike IC’s have the knowledge and drive and care about Nike. Posting that system performance is good and everyone cheering is embarrassing, only to have issues within hours.
  2. Fire the frontline support managers or only keep the ones that pass an IQ test or a 360 review from their direct reports.
  3. Dissolve resiliency team who just fumble through pretending like they’re bringing real AI benefits with egos that take up 2 workspaces.
  4. Fire the guy that is apparently sleeping with all the HR folks.
  5. Make all the slack channels where people post news articles, sell tickets or peddle their secondhand cr-p only available after biz hours.

Social media at work? Does this make sense to anyone? It’s a corporation… you are working a job and getting paid to do it.

Do social media on your time, work while at work.

Slack admins/managers shut all that cr-p down and watch the work product blowup…

Bro you make it sound like IC are talented, dedicated angels that do no wrong. Most of those dudes have zero talent, add zero value, and take too long to produce janky stuff. Sure leadership su-ks, but it's not like we have wealth of talent in the IC pool. I would say at least they're not overpaid because Nike isn't known for high comp, but for the talent they are overpaid by a lot

Op here- Rant wasn’t mine but likely another employee who is frustrated by Accenture and leadership.
I’m a global tech employee as well so…..

  1. Do you want to buy some old picture frames or used dish towels?
  2. Do you want to see the excel spreadsheet I created to track end of year pto hours even though it’s in workday?
  3. Check out the article I posted about new tax rates or home loans or whatever else I’m reading all day?
  4. Wanna join a walking challenge or wellness event or be forced by your manager to send high fives?
  5. Wanna try resolving an issue in under 2 weeks when all the good Nike folks are layed off this quarter Accenture?

The nice thing at nike, is we all suffer together. The pain is felt for everyone and brings a trama connection moment. So happy I left Nike last year. My ESPP su-ks; but all good.
