Thread regarding Optum layoffs

@OP HR rep here ... NEVER happening in OT. The last one was 8 years ago. HR reviewed it 5 years ago and it was determined that too many would go leave too much knowledge debt. Nothing has changed in that posture. Never and I mean MEVER happening in OT.

@ap That package was 1 year salary and you received benefits for that year. You had to be 55 and 10 years with the company.

The retirement package offer from UHC about 8 years ago was 26 weeks severance correct? Wouldn't that be less expensive than paying out potentially both severance and unemployment claims for a layoff? The job market is horse cr-p right now so it's less likely people are going to make it easy for them and just walk away.
