Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

The most insulting way to lay people off

Getting laid off is like a bad performance everyone pretends is respectful. They read a script, hide behind wording, shove legal paperwork at you, and act like they care. Then they'll turn around and refill the same role like nothing happened most likely within months. That part is what really makes it hard to swallow.

@OP I've seen several cases where they already hire the replacement role in HIH first, then layoff the stateside employee 2-4 weeks later.

The layoffs on the 29th were not performance related but I agree on usual layoffs.

The worse part is they'll sit there and lie to your face about AI taking you job. What they don't tell you is AI stands for Another Indian. You can thank that hag Noelle and the regard DP for this. Just wait until Cigna gets an Indian CEO. It will be offshore and H1B all the way.
