More Layoffs Today, I'm Heartbroken

More people got cut today, despite a big wave happening this past Thursday. If you even get an itch that something is off (more work, less work, more micromanaging, time off not being approved or acknowledged), it could be a sign. Stay vigilant, keep having conversations with your peers and network, and start looking elsewhere before it's too late. There will probably be more just based on the stock.

@OP take heart knowing the CFO had 3.8M to burn on buying shares. So Board had to approve that, as well as his comp package including bonus. Connect the dots. We give him a windfall, he buys shares to invoke confidence in the company. Well done

@pk That could be tricky due to the Health plans are in many states in the US.

With the volumn of layoffs, does the Federal WARN Act come into play. It requires 60 days notice (or pay) if there are mass layoffs.

@a6 Thursday was Health Plans and Monday was MHI. It's across the whole org. Depending on your manager, they'll either be honest or pin it as poor performance.

@a6 don’t blame management. We all know well what is going on. It’s always the incompetent management and never the staff, right? Unbelievable.

Sorry to hear about the layoffs, can I ask what department? Between the frantic senior leadership and incompetent management, a lot of us in my department fear we are coming up on the chopping block. I have heard rumours of big cuts coming to MHI soon
