Beware of any reduction in project assignments, knowledge transfers, performance evaluations happening during these periods. Your project might be in soup.

Which LOBs are being hit? Sales? Support? R&D? Which product lines?
30,000 is a start...
@cj Will/are they even able to support the customers they have now? Or do they not even matter any more?
for EMEA or other region?
@g4 Do more, with less, for less.
However, our people are critical to our success and thank you for your service.
Meetings are already being setup with M7 for February rif.
Fingers crossed that I'll get picked before I choose to leave. Meanwhile, more work for less pay and sorry no money for raises.
RSU'S are pretty worthless.
Look for which org still has the highest number on jobs still open. I heard OCI AI/GPU org is hiring still and aggressively with headcount that will increase even more in coming months. Where do you think they are getting those head counts from? I am transferring back to OCI for this reason alone. Need to go where the growth is guaranteed.
@bq they have data centres and technology to build for OpenAi
30,000 job cuts on the way? Who is left to do the backlog of work? Seems everything is falling

Building up pressure behind the dam! Watch out!
@OP Worked at Oracle for the better part of my career given we were acquired. But I'm retired now. Oracle does layoffs in February very often, so I wouldn't place my bets on March.

And, should you detect hints of either, do your best to delay, deny, and destabilize them.
Would O even do that though? Maybe it's the role I was in when I was let go; my teammates and I were so busy it was hard to keep up with demand for our services and we were just let go. Just "role no longer required". No handover of anything and it's a role that is still needed, probably more now than ever.
