APLA has been for a long time the best example of how things should be done. More hands on, comparatively less BS, the priorities are the priorities and not what some lousy global leader asks for this week, do more with way less (sometimes 4 to 1 same function versus NA).
Happy to see leaders with APLA past going to other geographies.

How is the APLA Kids business doing?
APLA is like In-N-Out - an average product (barely) with an inflated sense of value because of their small pond.
One fact that no one is really talking about.. Many competent APLA team members moved to global or NA after the last reorg, which has only made APLA struggle even more.
APLA is an absolute mess right now. This take shows a total lack of understanding.
OP here. Think what you want, but APLA is the leanest part of the company, and the teams in territories are the most operationally and consumer focused people around.
APLA is the smallest geo segment and is around 14%
I worked in APLA when it was Emerging Markets turning into APLA. APLA was a great place to start. Work wasn't magically perfect and wonderful but it was WAY better than the way Global does their work.
APLA routinely gets put in the corner and treated like a small player despite being a +20% share of the pie like NA + GC (at least when I was there). Global's arrogance is the worst - they have nothing to learn from anybody. They just import them into Global to turn into Global people over time.
“Tell me you work outside of APLA without telling me” vibes.
And how’s that going? Didn’t they post a really bad quarter?
