Any departments get told they have to start tracking time? Heard it was GL24-29 only.

Certain departments at Optum require the MDs to meticulously time and log every call, task, and activity. Consequently, MD turnover in those departments has significantly risen in the year and a half since this micromanaging process began.
We already track time in PPMoptics and Rally. Seems like we need at least a third place to log the exact same numbers.
@jq You don't also have to track them in Clarity?
GL 28 and we only track projects in Rally. That’s it.
GL28 here. Where do you all work? I mean seriously, been here 10+ years, no time trackers, no daily task list, no spreadsheet, no software tracking, etc etc. I mean if you work in a call center or similar I can see that, but if not, no, then I cannot see that. I mean the only thing we do is weekly hours spent on XYZ project for whatever, but that's it.
I used to be in a department that went to time tracking. And it was a project based team, we had to start tracking every minute we spent on everything. Hated it! That team's morale is so low now. So glad I made it out of that.
My current position has had a lot of autonomy so far. We are in the field a lot and the workflow varies week to week each month. It’s been my favorite thing about this position from day 1. If we have to start tracking tasks beyond a daily Salesforce entry I don’t know that I’ll be able to stay. I have no desire to be treated like a mindless task only robot again. Crossing my fingers things don’t change where I am.( I make for a very cranky and dissatisfied “ROBOT”. )
Time trackers or task trackers? GL22 and we have started using task trackers this week over on the NOMNC issuance/retrieval side of things. We have to put in the spreadsheet how many tasks we are clearing out of the queue on an hour by hour basis, along with management upping our hourly productivity requirements. Our department is really starting to feel like that episode of I Love Lucy and the chocolate factory.
We have up to GL31 in tech report time for years. You mean you haven’t so far!! Wow
Timesheets for salary employees is crazy but not unheard of. It makes it easier to track productive hours when calculating the FTEs for RIFs by project/labor codes.
@OP I have been in my position (GL 27) and have been required to submit a daily task by task productivity every week.
The “ai” tracks the time already.
I’m GL 28 and we have always done this.
We already have timesheets
