Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Execs are he-l-bent on losing every competent person

We’ve been shedding truly skilled engineers like there’s no tomorrow. I’ve lost several exceptionally talented people on my team. It really boggles the mind.

@OP
That is bad news, but great news for those of us just trying to hang on for another 5 years to reach retirement. If the good people quit and find better jobs, then the slackers can hang around until I get my 30 years and 90 points.

MW has always viewed professionals as interchangeable parts, all with the same capabilities and performance. Add in DEI, favoritism, cronyism, and relative ability, and you get the situation we are in.

MW and MN are using ChatGPT to do their jobs. Look at the roaring success it has been. Why can't you do that too?

it’s all part of the plan

they will cut the US down to generic employees who do busy work that anyone can and then file more H1Bs and then ultimately close the US hub
