Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

18A was originally advertised as the flagship process for IFS, meant to attract external investment and enable Intel to build wafers for external customers.

18A was only recently touted as an internal node, after it became clear no one wanted it.

Let’s all stop pretending 18A was an Intel-only node from the start. It’s wasn’t.

SO how is this affect the 18A varieties ( 18A-P , 18A-PT , 18A bear, 18A bull, 18A sh-t etc … )?

When the number #1 NVDIA said no then just close your bussiness and go home.

@ad NVDA and others are in the process of adopting Intel packaging solutions and that is more profitable to the company than wafer manufacturing.

Apple is said to be about to make a big IFS announcement and NVDA will try again on 18a or more likely 14a, once yields have improved.

Lots of FUD out there about what is actually happening, and if that can drag down the stock then I am a buyer, and willing to hold a small amount through the churn.

Ultimately, NVDA appears to be dragging the sector where it may go, good or bad.

I heard a different rumor that NVDIA will only try again on 10A only if it really works. No more waste time at Intel.

18A is internal node, its old news. Variants of 18A, such as 18AP will try to get customers. Media hype of negative news.

When will Intel begin mass production of its internal 18A chips?
Let's see how LBT handles the media at CES 2026.

If Nvidia stops using IFS, then no customer will come.
