When an employee hits the report I get for being in the office for 7hrs and 15 mins, it’s time to be worried. They obviously don’t want to pay severance in 2026. Sorry to be the bearer of this news but watch yourself, it’s about to get turbulent

It's the only place it happens. WF offices are absolute trash. Waste of time and money.
If my manager calls me in to tell me I averaged 7 hours and 45 mins per day, I’m going to laugh. This place is a complete joke led by incompetent a--hats for senior officers and managers. Worry about terming the dead wood you have here instead of nickel and diming people who are more productive in 4 hours than others are in 8+

y'all can be in denial as much as you want but it's a simple fact - the reporting and enforcement of hours in office is not going away and is creating consequences much faster than the attendance reporting (3 day week) did.
There is also an uptick in being terminated "for cause" after receiving IM.
And IM being given for not being in the office 3 days.
And the budget for severance is reduced, but headcount reduction is still in full force.

It could be worse. We could be at Dell. They do daily "end of day walkthroughs" to see who is not in office the full 8 hours/5 days a week.
Manager spoke to a coworker who recently averaged 7.2 hours per day in one week review. Asked what issues there were and why they did not meet the 8 requirements & how they can improve it. Explained over the full week that is over 3 hours not working in the firm's eyes. Basically a warning it could affect their performance rating. They are drilling down to weekly reports now for hitting 8 hours minimum. Needless to say my coworker was not happy.
